To be completely honest, I don't know for sure if I did or not, but according to my husband, I did not poop during delivery. I tend to believe him since I had moved my bowels a few times during the early part of labor. And since I had nothing to eat in...forever, there was nothing there to come out.
However, during my first push, I did pee everywhere. Yup. I thought it was amniotic fluid, but my nurse was very clear to point out, "you just emptied your bladder, honey". Gee, thanks.
So there is the answer. And if I had pooped on the table, I wouldn't have cared. Everyone was right. That's the farthest thing from your mind at that point.
And NOT poop or pee related, here is a picture of Taylor and I sleeping. If she's going to sleep on her hand, I'm going to sleep on my hand. We are family, after all.

ReplyDeleteI have to say that I'm pretty nervous about pooping or peeing or ripping a huge fart during labor/delivery. I know I won't care in the moment, but it's definitely something I worry about now.
