getting paid in kisses...

Whenever I have a "tech" question at work, I IM my hubby. He almost always has the answer.

For example, yesterday I IMed him something like this, "My fingers just freaked out and I accidentally hit one of the scary F keys and now the tool bars at the top of my screen disappeared. HELP". He responded, "Hit F11."

It totally fixed my problem.

I had another tech question today. The conversation went like this:

Me: What is Visio?
Andrew: That's hilarious. I'm using it right now.
Me: Good. Go on...
Andrew: Visio is Microsoft's application that allows you to piece together diagrams, flow charts, org charts, that sort of thing.
Me: What is the extension? (.xls for excel, .doc for word)
Andrew: .vsd
Andrew: VisioDiagram
Me: Perfect. I'm trying to find some flowcharts that we use in our SOX documentation.
Andrew: I love when I can help with computery things.
Andrew: I'm your man.
Me: You are my x4040 (that's our tech hotline)
Andrew: Except I'm not getting paid.
Me: You get paid in kisses.
Andrew: I also get paid in dinners. Beef stew!!
Andrew: Oh, and the occasional baby.

Good thing he only asks for a payment of baby occasionally. :D

  2. Oh my gosh, Matt is a tech guy too and I can't tell you how many times I've called him for computer issues or had him remotely log in to our system and fix something. The tech guy we actually pay is a dickhead and doesn't know shit about fixing things! It makes me so mad. He came to look at our computers and didn't even have an effing computer screwdriver. Worst employee. I hate him. Sorry for this rant. I just can so relate to having my husband help me out with tech related questions!

  3. So cute! McMister calls me all day with grammar questions :)

And I'm so happy about the thermometer. I hope it works for you! We also have a pacifier one, but it seemed like whenever I wanted her temp, it was bc she didn't feel well so was fussing too much to keep a paci in.

  6. Phew, thank goodness it's only the occasional baby!

And so very awesome that you can chat with him at work and ask questions. I feel like my husband is in prison when he's at work. He can't even check his phone! They are like the gestapo.

So yay for communicating with hubby AND for him being techy!

  8. So cute. :) I love my husband dearly, but sometimes wish he was a tech guy. It would have prevented me from losing 6 months of pictures! I love the occasional baby comment. :)
